Our Hunts

Big Horn Sheep Hunts

Alberta is known for its famous Bighorn sheep, with a great population in the areas LC Outfitting hunts. To get into the mountains from the trailhead our clients will ride horseback deep into the heart of the hunting area. Backpack hunts are available as well, which some hunters do prefer. Both hunting areas bordering Banff and Jasper national park produce great quality rams.

 

It is important to be in good physical and mental shape for this hunt and it will increase your chance or harvesting a good ram. You will be hiking mountains ranging from 5500ft -8500 ft with a pack ranging from 40-65 lbs.

 

Landen and his crew try and offer the highest quality bighorn sheep hunt around with extremely comfortable camps. Using generators, wood heat, fresh food and great horses.

 

LC outfitting and his crew have been chosen year after year to guide the famous Alberta special bighorn sheep minister license, both the auction and the raffle tag.

Mule Deer Hunts

Our southern Alberta mule deer hunts are archery or rifle hunts. We offer two different areas to hunt, a mountain hunt and a foothills/prairie hunt.  All hunts are 6 full days of hunting with all accommodations, licenses and tax included. LC outfitting realizes how the quality of the guides play such an important part in the hunt, we do our best to ensure a great guide for a great hunt.

Prairie/Foothills Mule Deer

South western Alberta is known for its trophy mule deer, with many bucks ranging from 180'' - 200''. The regulations for residents are on a limited draw which increases the trophy quality.

 

We are 100% on opportunity for bucks in 165'' and up range. All hunts are spot and stalk with guaranteed tags and no draws. This is a great hunt with lots of opportunity for groups that would like to come together.

Mountain Mule Deer

Located on the boundary or Waterton Lakes National Park, and British Columbia border. These big bodied, dark horned mountain mule deer will really get your heart going. A spot and stalk hunt with great accommodation's right where you will be hunting.

 

This hunt offers the opportunity to take a great trophy mountain mule deer with great scenery each day in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

Archery Hunts

These hunts are held during the archery-only season, from September 1st through October 24th. This diverse area consists of rolling hills, coulees, willow, timber, and creeks. Which makes for a great area to spot and stalk. The majority of these hunts take place on private farms and ranches. This hunt offers a high percentage of opportunity and many stalks on trophy-quality mule deer. If you are looking for a nonstop action archery hunt, this is the hunt for you. With bucks ranging from the 150'' to the 190'' in size. All mule deer hunts include top-quality, professional and experienced guides. Home-cooked meals, great lodging, accommodations, and trophy care.
